Welcome Kyrra

John Holmes from Clark Real Estate

Although she has been working in our office for a little over a month, we would like to take this opportunity to formally introduce our new Sales Assistant and Receptionist, Kyrra Wade, to all of our blog readers.

Kyrra has a background in child care although she has also worked in event management, retail, and hospitality. She has already shown herself to be an important person in our office by ensuring many tasks around the office are completed. Make sure you say hello to her when you see her out and about putting up signs as well as attending inspections, valuations, and taking those amazing photographs of properties.

In yet another green move, it is likely that all Australian homes will have to undergo a mandatory energy assessment. This national assessment is currently in the drafting stage and will rate homes by a star system based on their energy effeciency. Concerns have been raised due to the high costs of these assessments which could be up to $1500.

The energy-effeciency assessment is similar to the rating system in operation in the ACT and has been seen by others as being an extension on the Sustainability Declaration here in Queensland.
