Queensland’s transport minister, Rachel Nolan, has announced that Eagle Junction Railway Station will be the first to undergo a facelift from the State Government’s $200million plan for SouthEast Qld train stations.

The $10 million project will make the well worn station unrecognisable and allow for possible retail spaces. This is great news for one of the busiest suburban station which is a key location due to it being the connecting station for the airport trains.

Holy Cross Development

9 Jun

Residents aren’t happy about Council’s decision to give preliminary approval to a development next to Holy Cross Primary School in Wooloowin. The plan includes the construction of four story units on the schools oval.
The residents want the area to remain green space instead of demolition of other buildings in the area to create the same space. There are also concerns about increases in traffic congestions in teh local streets.

If the project is given final approval, it will include an aged persons accomodation, childcare centre, office space, a 4000sqm park and a restaurant.
