With magpie season now upon us, it’s getting little more difficult to enjoy an afternoon stroll – never mind the humidity. And although it can sometimes be an annoyance, swooping magpies can lead to injuries that require medical attention.

Quest Newspapers now has a map for us all to view local hotspots in the greater Brisbane area. The map can be viewed here.

Rental Rates

7 Sep 3565-newfront

According to an article from The Australian, rental rates across Australian capital cities have raised at more than double the rate of inflation over the last few years.

It is also suggested that after a flat 2010, rental rates will rise again with higher immigration as well as a slowing in property growth.

Brisbane had two of the best performers with the Suburbs of Dutton Park and Shorncliffe rising over 20%.
