The Great Brisbane Bike Ride

Registration opens at 5am
The Great Brisbane Bike ride is on again this year as part of Bike Week with three different events for all ages and skill levels. The main rides are either 45km or 30km and gives the cyclists a chance to go through the clem7 tunnel. There’s also a goldcross family ride which covers 12km of the city’s most scenic loops. Entry is still available on the day.

It’s another music festival in our local area in the season of outdoor music. This week it’s Future Music which is held at Doombul Racecourse this Saturday. The festival features local artists such as Operator Please and Empire of the Sun as well as international bands The Prodigy, Franz Ferdinand, and David Guetta. Tciekets are available on the website.

It’s a big weekend for music in Brisbane Soundwave having its Brisbane show this Saturday. Groups such as Faith No More, Janes Addiction, Placebo, Paramore, and Alexisonfire will all be playing. Tickets are still available and can be purchased as several outlets shown on the official site.
