The Queensland Government has approved a new CityCat terminal at Macarthur Avenue in Hamilton. As part of the Northshore Hamilton Urban Development area which we have previously discussed on the blog, the new terminal is expected to have construction completed by the end of September next year. The $5 million terminal will provide residents with better access to public transport and is being seen as a value adding initiative for developers and residents to become part of the Northshore community project.

Holy Cross Development
9 JunResidents aren’t happy about Council’s decision to give preliminary approval to a development next to Holy Cross Primary School in Wooloowin. The plan includes the construction of four story units on the schools oval.
The residents want the area to remain green space instead of demolition of other buildings in the area to create the same space. There are also concerns about increases in traffic congestions in teh local streets.
If the project is given final approval, it will include an aged persons accomodation, childcare centre, office space, a 4000sqm park and a restaurant.
